At our house, Santa is a 15 month old in pink; but her clothes are still all tarnished with ashes and soot. She also has a list, but not the one Santa lugs around. (Soon she’ll wonder why he would pay attention to such a tedious list, when really all it needs to say is: Naughty=Everyone, Good=God Alone.) Her list is a list of just a few of the books her mom is looking forward to reading again and again:
1. Keeping Holiday by Starr Meade (A Christmas tradition at our house)
2. Dangerous Journey by Oliver Hunkin (from Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan)
3. The Jesus Story Book Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones (No, she’s not related to Martin)
4. The Prince’s Poison Cup, The King Without a Shadow, The Lightlings all by R.C. Sproul
5. Illustrated Family Bible ESV: 270 Selections from the Holy Bible published by Crossway
6. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (no children’s book list is complete with out it)
7. Most of All Jesus Loves You by Noel Piper
8. ABC Bible Verses by Susan Hunt
9. Training Hearts Teaching Minds by Starr Meade
10. Big Book of Questions and Answers by Sinclair Ferguson
